You know that feeling when you meet a new friend and it’s an instant love match? Friendship love at first sight?
Maybe your kids are the same age, or you watch the same reality shows, or you’re both taking a dance class for the first time.
That magic is the goodness of life. An instant connection where you know you’ve found a good one.
That’s how I felt when I met Stacy Ennis. A few years ago, we met at Farnoosh Torabi’s book launch for A Healthy State of Panic. She’s a book coach living abroad with her family, and…well, you know the work I do.
We talked about changes in publishing, what our clients really needed, and our beliefs about creativity and publishing. I met a good one that night–and we stayed in touch.
We love to chit chat about our work, our kids, food, politics–all the stuff.
Now, years later, we found an interesting thread that ran between our work–mine in book proposals and hers in full manuscripts–and that’s the magic that sits between creativity and strategy.
Great writers need both.
So we brought the conversation to Linkedin, and now it’s on the pod.
Don’t miss this episode of Bound & Determined–there’s so much shared wisdom, and a lot of comfort around the sticky parts of being a writer.
